Upskilling Employees on Pruning Provides Valuable Education

The New Hampshire Cooperative Extension recently completed a Dormant and Structural Pruning seminar for Belknap and Carroll County Landscape employees.

The five-hour program consisted of classroom and hands-on instruction covering best pruning practices. Topics covered included when, what, and how to safely prune and appropriate tools for different specimens. The application part of the seminar was held at the property of a Belknap Landscape customer. Participating employees included those looking to expand their skills and those familiar with dormant and structural pruning who sought continuing education.

“Our employees are always learning, and this program allowed them to apply their newly acquired knowledge through practical application,” stated Andrew Morse, Belknap Landscape’s Director of Recurring Services. “This hands-on skill development is essential for creating the most well-trained workforce in New Hampshire’s green industry, ensuring optimal results for our clients. We’re super proud of everyone who participated.”

Belknap Landscape is one of the area’s largest employers and a leading landscape service provider throughout the Lakes Region and southern White Mountain areas.
