Several members of the Belknap team recently travelled to West Lebanon, NH to attend the Turfgrass Conference and Trade Show held annually by the Vermont Greenscape Association. This popular northern New England event features exceptional industry-leading speakers along with vendors and exhibitors that are leading the industry in technology and best practices.
We all know the weather changes every 5 minutes in New England, but the challenges of property care extend themselves during periods of drought, bug infestations, environmental concerns and sustainability. Continuing education is vital in these areas to better manage our resources and deliver leading best practices for our clients. Proactive management with regards to irrigation, weed and pest control, and stormwater runoff is extremely valuable in the Lakes Region in which we live and work.
Professors and Specialists from the University of Massachusetts and University of Vermont discussed topics and best practices related to insect management, turf physiology in extreme dry and wet conditions, key grassy weeds, and integrated pest management (IPM) for turf. Certification credits are provided with reciprocity across New England states for IPM applicators; Belknap Landscape is proud to invest in our employees and their continuing education.
Many exhibitors and sponsors support this show including: Atlantic Irrigation, Bayer Environmental Services, Casella Organics, Northeast Golf & Turf Supply, Northern Nurseries, OESCO, Tuckahoe Turf Farms and Valley Green, Inc.
