Waterfront Permitting Beginning on July 1, 2008, a revised set of regulations will be set forth by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services in the Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act. The regulations provide protection for lakefront properties and define specific rules for landscape and construction-related activities in the 50’ buffer zone, and protection up to 250’ from the high water mark.
